Thursday was another busy day at work. I managed to get a seat by the window, which is no small feat, considering cubicles go fast around here these days. Around 10:30 am, it started lightly snowing. It was beautiful. I went into a meeting around noonish and came back out at 1pm, and it was a literal flurry!! I decided right then and there to go home. I was glad I did because it took me 2.5 hours to get home, with all the traffic. Everyone was leaving work at the same time!!
Sidney loved the snow. We made some snowballs, and the dogs went and played outside in it. Garrett was not quite sure of all this snow, and just made a face at the cold. But we had snow twice in one week, which is a total record here. All of my tulips are now wilted over, splattered face down on the grass. Oh well. While I miss snow, I did not miss scraping snow off of my car, going to work in a freezing car. I once drove from Chicago to Indy in a blizzard, and it took me over 15 hours to get home. Now that was awful.
Get this. Garrett likes Nascar. He just sits in the recliner with Craig and watches cars go round and round. It is probably the same action as his mobile above his crib. I bet he wonders, "Now why are these fish going round n round in a circle?". Same with Nascar. Everything is always a LEFT turn. I have grown to really like Nascar over the years. I am going to try to get ticket this fall for the Texas Motor Speedway, but they are super expensive.
I am in great pain. My left shoulder and neck are killing me. I think it is from holding Garrett so much. He is so much fun to play with. Sidney has been all wound up this week. We are planning a trip to SeaWorld, in San Antonio, this spring. She wants to see the whales and dolphins. I think that Spring would be a great time to go.
Well, I am going to drink a glass of wine to knock me out, and hopefully the baby will sleep through the night. I love all my family and friends that are reading this!!!
