Who Would've Thought!

Just when you think you know your husband after being with him 7 years, he throws me a curve ball! I drove Craig's truck to Yoga on Sunday, and as usual, I was in a hurry. I made it there in time, and had an awesome class.

On the way home, I was rummaging through the console of his truck for some sunglasses, and low and behold, I came across several CDs, consisting of Jewel, Sheryl Crow, and among others, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Folks, my husband loves country music all the way. He listens to Randy Travis, Travis Tritt, and a whole slew of other country singers. Who is this man who listens to Jewel and Sheryl Crow?Not just one CD of Jewel, but 3!! Jewel to me, is a sort of yodel-er.

So when I get home, I ask him, since WHEN did you start listening to Jewel? He said "Oh, Jewel is my favorite singer." I was just stunned. Actually, I find this new revelation quite charming. So no matter how long you've been married, your spouse may surprise you on an occasion or two!

I got this email from my Yoga studio the other day:

This is the invitation for all our friends - young and old, male and female, to strike a pose with us on Monday, March 24 at 3:30 or 5:30 p.m. Mark your calendar now so you don't forget and later, we'll announce the air date so you can tell all your friends. Be sure to let them know the fame won't change you.

So, I emailed them and said that I would be interested in the 3:30 class if available. They put my name in a pool of people, and my name got drawn to attend the 3:30 class. Either 20/20 or 60 minutes, whichever one has Bryant Gumbal, (forgive me for misspelling his name) is doing a segment on the hottest franchises to buy this year, and my yoga studio is listed as one of those franchises. So, I may get to be on TV!!! I am kind of nervous. The poses are hard enough to concentrate on without a cameraman zooming in on you!! I am going to wear one of my Travelocity T-shirts. Not sure how the yoga studio would feel about that, but if you are wearing Nike pants, or an Adidas tank top, it is still the same concept. You are advertising a company. So, I will advertise my wonderful work place!! Or I could use my big Travelocity water jug!!
