Last night I woke up around 3am, and the TV was on the CMT channel (Country Music Television). A video came on called "Please Read the Letter", by Alison Krause, and Robert Plant. I bolted up from my pillow. Are they talking about THE ROBERT PLANT?? The lead singer of Led Zeppelin, and one of the most influential singers in the whole history of music? Well they sure were. It was an amazing video. The lyrics were sooo good, and they both just sounded awesome together. Robert Plant still has his touch. He even threw in a few Led Zeppelin sounding "ohs''. The song was written by: Written by Michael Lee, Jimmy Page, Charlie Jones, Robert Plant.
In high school, I had a close friend who was a Led Zeppelin fanatic, and I kind of got turned onto them. I really liked that band. I saw them live in 1995. I love Jimmy Page too. So this morning I googled Robert Plant and Alison Krause, and they have a whole album. Here is a link to their webpage where you can listen to the album and all of their songs. You can even see the lyrics. You have to listen to "Please Read the Letter". It is very good. I am just in wonder, in awe. He is truly a gifted musician. They sound so beautiful together. I might have to actually go pay for their album. I can't wait to listen to the rest of their songs.
Here is the U-Tube reason for collaboration.

Oh you didn't hear about that album? Yeah, good stuff. Definitely leather and lace.
