Wallpaper

Help!! Does anyone know a QUICK and fast way to get wallpaper off the wall. I started this project in 2006. We have this blue kitchen with blue border, and I wanted to scrape it off. However, the wallpaper just kind of crumbles, and I literally have to scrub it off. It kind of disintigrates. I have been using putty knives, razor blades, vinegar, fabric softenener, but it is slow going.... If you have an suggestions, I would love to hear them.

I am happy to say that after months of munching on furniture and toys with complete abandon, Garrett now has an itty bitty baby tooth, in his left lower quadrant. So long cute gummy smile. Hello tooth!! He will be 9 mos on the 26th. He is pulling up and trying to coast between furniture.

I think I am going to enroll Sidney in violin lessons. She wants to sing and dance. The singing class does not coincide with my work schedule, but the violin class does. Se dance will start back up in the fall. She needs something to work the artsy/musical side of her brain. It is out with Dora. Dora is old news. Now Hannah Montana is the new thing! She is still doing gymnastics, and doing very well. I saw her do a somersault on a low beam, with assistance, and she is really liking the uneven bars.

Everyone, root for Nastia Liukin!! The owner of Sidney's studio is her father, as well as her coach. I can't wait to see her on the uneven bars. I was reading a study that the average Olympic athlete spends at least $30K on all the training time, equipment, to be able to get good enough to get to the Olympics. I was very impressed with the show Beijing put on last night.

It is still so very hot here.... Should cool down starting in September. Craig and Sidney are at the Vet's with Junior. It is time for him to get his yearly examination. They want us to take Mac in but Mac is so old that it is very hard for him to even get up and go outside, let along get in a car, and walk into a vet's office. Mac is just like a big brown bear. For now, we don't need a rug at the botton of the stairs. If Sidney or Garrett fell, they would land on Mac and bounce right off of him.

We checked out IKEA last night. Their new catalog came in the mail. Woo-Hoo. It is like looking through a toy magazine!!! Love their swedish meatballs!! I like some of their furniture, but not all of it. But if could chuck everything and start from scratch, I would buy everything from IKEA. My stuff is too traditional to go with their ultra modern european decor, although I really love their stuff.
