While Sidney and Craig have been in Louisville, I have had some serious bonding time with Garrett. Sometimes, I think he gets so excited about things, that his head is going to pop off. He just starts shrieking, and shaking his head back and forth as fast as he can, if something interesting crosses his path. I love it when he crawls really fast, gets tired, and just lays down instantly and puts his head on the ground. I never have my Flip corder available when he is doing these insanely funny things though.
This weekend, I painted my dining room, and my living room. It took three layers of the paint to coat my maroon walls of the dining room, and the gold color in the living room, but it looks so nice and new. It is amazing what paint can do for the mood of the room. I am going for this zen, feng shui sort of feel, so everything is off white, not cream, except for one accent wall in the living room, which is dark brown. I am so thrilled. Thank goodness for laminate floors. I can just scrape any paint spatterings up with a kitchen knife.
I opened up a myspace account for the sole purpose of viewing my friend, Heather's, blog entries. I am not really an interesting person. Everyone has such interesting lives, and hobbies. Maybe I will find someone's that I like and copy it verbatum. I mean really, who gives a crap about what my favorite music is, or what radio station I listen to.
An acquaintance of mine stood me up for lunch on Sunday. So while I was waiting for her and her fam, I had to entertain Garrett with nothing but one little rattle. Which was hard. I finally gave him the salt and pepper shakers, napkins, and silverware, spoon only, to fling all around. I don't mind waiting on people by myself, but with my son, it is a big deal. Needless to say, I left her a message and it never got returned. Needless to say, I won't be reading her blog anymore, or corresponding with her.
But on to bigger and better things, and nice people who are not freaky, pathological persons.
