Webcams

I must confess, it has been awhile since my last blog. For the past month and a half I have literally been working at the office every day, and very long days. When I get home, I am just too tired to even form a sentence. But alas, I am thinking that my family members are wondering if we dropped off the face of the planet.

My computer crashed, and went to computer heaven due to a surge of electricity. I don't know exactly what happened, since we did have surge protectors, but not even Best Buy could recover it. So, we recently go a new Dell Laptop, and it is awesome. Now I can type right before I go to bed. I can input my SD card right into the laptop and upload pictures. I love this laptop. Although I have a work laptop, it is so much better to shop on ebay with your own laptop. I always felt kind of guilty shopping online with my work laptop.

My Grandma Boggs sent me the nicest letter. She was reminiscing over us staying all night when we were younger, and just having a blast. I remember going to the mall and eating at thie cafeteria, ice cream cones, walks down the lane, and all sorts of memories. I recently came across a picture of Ginger, and it was so nice to think about her. My grandma had this big rock in her yard, that we would sit on. Most of the time, Ginger could make the jump to sit on the top of the rock with us, but there were occasions that she just plumb misses the jump, and would bonk her head. But she loved jumping on that rock to sit with my sister and me.

Garrett is now 10 months. Last weekend I went and got the kids picture taken, and should get it back on October 17th. They look very cute, and I will send those pics out to all of you. Garrett can cruise around furniture really well, and is now to the point where he will stand independently, but not walk. He may be walking by one. Which leads me to another question. I am not quite sure what to do about his birthday. All of our family is out of state. Do I invite all of his little daycare friends and parents over to our house? Or should we just have small party? Or should we go somewhere like the Wiggly Play Center? I just don't know what to do about his birthday yet. Would he be mad if he did not have a big one year birthday bash, when he is, lets say 30? Sidney had a huge party on each side of our families.

Today is my birthday, and I was kind of bummed because my husband was out of town on business. He called and said he had a gift for me in the garage, Then around 9pm, he unlocked the door, and came in with flowers, a bottle of wine, chocolate cake, and candles. What a guy! He is such a good husband. We have such a happy life. I secretly fear that no couple can be this happy, and eventually something bad is going to happen, but for now, I will stuff that fear deep down inside my heart, and enjoy the here and now.

I installed Scype on this laptop. This weekend, we will get a webcam, and Mom and Dad will be able to see the kids. If anyone else has Scype and a webcam, let me know, and we will set up a time to connect. It should be fun
