Since a Rock -n- Roll... Just kidding. I can't believe it has been one full month since I have last had a post. I have had this terrible project at work that is just dragging on and on. Both kiddos have been sick for about two weeks. We did not even have Garrett's first birthday because he was too sick to blow out his little candle. I am hoping that we can have a birthday party for him when we come back home. The month of November has just been an awful and exhausting month. December is not looking too promising either. Craig is out of town visiting his family this week, and last.
However, the one thing that I truly look forward to every year is the Christmas lights. We are so lucky to live near Deerfield. They have the most amazing houses with the true Griswald Christmas lights. Check out one of the houses by clicking on the link above. After Thanksgiving, this addition totally decks out their houses. It is the most amazing display of lights that I have ever seen. Almost every house is elaborately done. They have horse drawn carriage rides, and bumper to bumper traffic. Planes fly over this addition at night just to view it from the sky. It is beautiful.
The cookbook that I am attempting to create is just a nightmare. Who would have thought that it could take up soooo much of my time. The only bright thing on the horizon is that I am on vacation in three days. Woo Hoo. I will be on vaction for two whole weeks! I won't be returning in January 4th.
Garrett kind of forgot how to walk after he was sick for two weeks, but he is slowly picking it up again. I don't know if I want him to start walking or not. I have heard several pros and cons. I never realized what an easy baby Sidney was. How I long for those days. Sidney really has the hang of Santa Claus and presents. I think that this will be the funnest year yet for her. Everything is such a big deal. If she opens a pair of socks, then they are the most beautiful socks ever. You catch my drift.
I am really excited to go home and see my folks and the rest of my extended family.
