I must admit that I am truly amazed at everything that Garrett understands. I was telling Sidney yesterday that we are going to go walk the dog. Garrett ran over to the cabinet where we have the dog leash stored, opened it, and tried to hook the leash on Junior. He is only 17 months old. He really likes to walk the dog too. Junior is the perfect size for Garrett. He walks, and does not drag him along. Also, whenever I say "Naptime", Garrett starts crying. He HATES to go to sleep. He can also run over, open the lazy susan, get the peanut butter, get a spoon, and come racing over to me to have me open it. I have a picture of Garrett in the peanut butter jar. Believe me, it is a total mess. It seems as if the second child is so much smarter than the first child. I don't over-analyze him, and just try to expose him to different things, just to see if he can do it. I let him have the sweeper the other day to see if he could help me with the sweeping, and sure enough, he swept the floor. Garrett is going to BE a doctor someday, and Sidney is going to MARRY a doctor someday. Just Kidding. I have high hopes of Sidney becoming a vet. She really likes animals. Or maybe some sort of Entomologist, since she really likes bugs. Never met a girl who likes to bring bugs in the house as much as her. I bought her a bug catcher kit, and she is in 7th heaven.
I am trying to save money in this trying time, especially since we bought the hot tub, but desperately needed to get my hair cut. I have not had it cut since Xmas, and it was really looking shaggy. The beauty of long hair is that you can always put it in a ponytail. My regular girl, who works at an Aveda salon is soo good, but soo expensive, so I decided to try "Style America". Style America turned out to not be so stylish. Sure I got a haircut for 12 dollars, but it is a bad one. I wanted light layering on the ends, and now it looks more like a sort of staircase going up my head. Sigh. What do I do? I think it will look OK if I just use rollers in it, and kind of make it curly. I could cut it off at the neck and start over. I could get a spiral perm. I could just put a bag over my head.
The hot tub is hooked up and running. It is very nice. I will take a picture of it as soon as I spruce up the patio and make it beautiful.
