Sidney's 16th and Been 6 years

OH MY GOSH!! I totally forgot I had this blog. I forgot about it for about 6 years. I ended with Sidney's 10th birthday, and am starting again with her 16th birthday. When I read this, I wonder, who WAS this person? I sounded so different than what I am now.  I was a young mom. Now I am a hard core "mom-in" Mom. I forgot how much I love to write.  Folks, you won't even believe how big my kids got in the span of 5 years. I look back at all of these pics and just can't believe I don't remember very much of it. So, I am have resolved to start writing again. I thought that I would always have my memory. It's scary to think of all that I have forgotten. Today, or it was yesterday because I have not been asleep yet, was Sidney's 16th birthday. Yes, a milestone. 2019 and 2020, I think were my hardest years as a parent, to date. We had a good day. I did the birthday table, had birthday signs, and we went to Macaroni Grill. Because of Covid-19, we could not have birthday parties. Coronavirus has pretty much turned our world upside down. It's been totally mismanaged by a president who does not care. I hope I don't die before a vaccination is created. But we have been car shopping ALL Weekend LONG. We found a Mercedes (nope), 2 Volkswagens (nope), and now looking at BMW X3. I mean WTH. I would been happy with whatever my parents got me, and they got me a Junker. Anyways. Hopefully we can find her a car she likes soon.

We only go through fast food. We went to Lake Charles to visit Craig for Father's Day, and went out then, but we had to.  But since February, we have been hermits. We did go to a Fourth of July party, but it was totally outside. I worry about Garrett. He only talks to his gaming friends. He does do athletics, but pretty soon, I'll stop that. It's too risky. I wish Sidney would wear a mask. None of her friends do. I did buy Garrett a cool camo mask, and he really liked it.

We had such a good time tonight. Sidney was in a good mood. She was being nice to Garrett. However, in driving to the forum, she missed her ramp to get to the forum, blew through 2 stop signs, and missed the exit to get back home. Plus when she switches lanes, I doubt that she looks. She wants her license tomorrow, but she can only go to chick fil a in Schertz and New Braunfels. No highway driving for her yet.

It is 3 am. I need my sleeping pill to knock me out. I have a very, very busy day tomorrow, loads of laundry, two dishwashers that need emptying, and hungry people.
Why can't I go to SLEEP????
