Videos

Folks, I have a video. It is from Sidney's school- Kindergarten graduation, as well as pics from her recital, see below. Even though she is starting kindergarten in the fall, I had gone ahead and enrolled her in her school's private kindergarten so that she could get a jump start for the real thing this fall. Their graduation was so cute. Each kid presented their mommies with a rose. Talk about a room full of mothers bawling their eyes out, including me!! Now, I was recording this and holding Garrett, so pardon the wild jerking movements. I went to a HomeMade Gourmet party this weekend, and let me tell you, I have never been so impressed with a product as I am of HMG. They have all sorts of spices you can buy, as well as hundreds of fast and easy recipes. The hostess made some food with the spices, and it was so fabulous. I ordered some stuff and can't wait to try them out. Most stuff, you just add your choice of meat, 2-3 TBSP of whatever spice you have ordered, maybe 1-2 cans of other stuff, some veggies, put it all in a ziplock bag, smoosh, and let it marinade for a few hours, and then either put it in the oven, or a slow cooker! I won a spice package and am letting my entree marinade right now. I will keep you posted of what I make, and how it turned out.You can make a week's worth of entrees, and freeze them, and then pull them out on the day you need to cook them. The recital was awesome. I had to go out and buy a new camcorder for this event. I seems like I did not learn my lesson with my Nikon Coolpix camera. I had let Sidney record some bugs (rolly pollies to be exact) with my Flip camcorder. She put it down outside on the lawn chair. Garrett somehow got ahold of it, and put it in my watering can, and it was full of water. I was very dismayed when I saw it sinking in the watering can. For the record, camcorders do not float. I tried to blow dry the thing, and change the batteries, but to no avail. So, I frantically went to Best Buy on Friday (recital on Saturday), and almost bought another Flip, but saw this new camcorder by Insignia, for the same price. It is really cool because you can insert an SD card right in it, record or take pics, and then take the SD card out, insert it into your laptop, (my laptop has an SD card slot), and upload your pictures and videos. The thing takes OK pictures, but awesome video. It does High Definition too. My Sony Cybershot had not been delivered yet, so I was stuck taking pics with my new camcorder. They are not bad, but you have to be as still as a statue to take the pics, else they come out fuzzy. But at this point, I was just glad to have something!! I vow to put all electronic devices on the top kitchen cabinet.... Expensive lesson on my part.
