Puppies

Folks, besides babies, there is nothing cuter than a puppy. At the first of the year, we have been debating whether or not to get another dog. Junior is lonely. But I kept thinking of all of the work. But now that Garrett is older, he is getting more self sufficient, and easier every day. Junior is not the best "Play" dog. He does not roll over, play tug of war, chase you around, (unless provoked), or chew on squeaky toys. He does like to curl up in your lap, for hours at a time, stretches a lot, and hides out under our bed. Junior is basically a cat in a dog's body.

We need more a doggy dog, a manly dog, a protector of the family while Craig is out of town dog. My friend Margie, loves Boxers, and my husband likes them too, so it seems like a sign from God to start looking at boxer puppies. I actually wanted a white one, but Craig did not. We have been on Craig's list scouring the ads for real boxer puppies. Note: there are a lot of boxer/pit bull mixes out there, and we did not want any pit bull in our blood. We finally found a lady whose registered boxer had pups, and FELL IN LOVE. I made sure I was not allergic to the dogs, but petting them, touching my face, letting them lick me, climb on me, and tackle me. Nothing. Not even a sneeze.

For 2 dogs, and 8 puppies, this house did not smell one bit. So we put a deposit down for our puppy. It took awhile to pick one out. I could not decide, so Craig and Sidney picked one out for us. We are trying to come up with a name right now. But it will be like having another baby in the house. I did not think that I would be all that excited, but I am surprised at how excited I am to get the little bugger. So here are some pics of our new little fellow with his mommy, brothers, and sisters. We will go visit him in a few weeks and take more pictures. Let me know if you have any good boxer puppy names!
