Hello everyone. It has been awhile because I have been very busy cleaning up dog poopie, and have not had time to write. I am mystified that this tiny little creature can poop and pottie so much. After 5 days, we have finally managed to get Rocco to do his business on the little doggie absorbent pad that I can throw away. But he still only guarantees a 75% accuracy rate of hitting the mat. I have not let him upstairs, on our carpet yet. He has just been downstairs where there is TILE, and wood laminate flooring. Easy to clean up. I read that if you put some vanilla where a dog has gone, he won't be able to smell his spot the next time around. So I put a huge tablespoon of vanilla extract in my Bissel steam mop, and the whole downstairs smells like a candle. Most awesome tip that I have ever heard!!!
He is still the cutest puppy that I have ever seen, and when I see the family playing with him, I just think of how wonderful he is going to be when he gets bigger. I have become his little substitute mama, and he curls by my feet when I am working from home. Albiet, he also chews on my flip flops. But he is a good boy, and makes everyone happy.
We had Sidney's birthday party at Paint N Party last weekend, on July 12th. It was so much fun. It was something a little different, but the kids had fun. Paint, cake, goodie bags = fun! They got to take their ceramics home that day. Sidney got lots of gifts. Everyone had RSVPed, save 2, that they would come. We did a Hawaiian theme, but with a princess cake. We we fighting over the cake, and I thought, hey it is her birthday. I just could not find any small grass skirts to put on the princess figurines.
Tonight we are going bowling with Sidney's future kindergarten class. A mom is getting the kids together for playdates so that they will at least know a few kids before starting kindergarten. The alley has black lights and glow in the dark bowling balls. We will see how this goes!
Here are some pics of Sidney's party.
