I don't know why, but never got pictures taken of Sidney's one year marker. So, with my little boy, I vowed to get them for him. I am about 2 months late, but went to JC Penney and got his one year pics taken. I also had some of Sidney taken too, just for grins, and even got her color coordinated with his outfit, so that they would match.Garrett is so much fun. He is into everything, and can trash a room in mere minutes. He recently learned the word "UP", so when he wants me to pick him up, he yells "UP" and holds out his arms. He loves to play "Chase", and "Hide and Seek". He grins and does this hunh-hunh kind of laugh that is very adorable. He also wants to be doing everything that Sidney does too. I recently got him a tricycle that has a sort of long handle on it, so that I can push him along, and he LOVES that!!!!
Craig was showing him his array of weapons last night and telling him which items would be his when he grows up, and not to sell any of Grandpas items for a tank of gas or beer (lyrics of a country song).
Sidney is now in private kindergarten and rapidly learning things. She can independently spell her first and last name, count to almost 50, and learning all of her letters. She will go to public school in the fall. April 3rd is kindergarten roundup, and I have to go get her registered. I can't even believe it.
You won't believe this, but I finally decided that I needed a maid to come help me with the housework. I can't work 50 hours, have a commute, keep up with the laundry and cooking, and the kids by myself. I saw a flier on my door, called the number, and got it all set up. The lady was nice, did not speak much English, but did a good job. In the kitchen, she started scrubbing my refrigerator with some sort of brillo pad. I was on a call with work, and motioned for her to stop. Well, I paid her, and she left. I went to the fridge, and my stainless steel refrigerator now has some very deep gashes in it. Basically, it is ruined. I paid someone to ruin my refrigerator. The next day, I went to call her, and she changed her number. I am kind of sick. So that was my first ever experience with hired help. A ruined refrigerator door. Ugh....I don't think I will be able to reach her.
